Digital holographic microscopy: a method for marker-free dynamic analysis of living cells

15.03.2007 - Photonik international /2007 |  [ deutsche Version lesen ]

Holographic-interferometric metrology is an established tool for non-destructive testing. Digital holographic microscopy methods enable a quantitative phase contrast that is suitable for the investigation of reflective surfaces as well as for the marker-free analysis of living cells. At the Laboratory of Biophysics, and in co-operation with partners from industry, biology and medicine, digital holographic microscopy systems have been developed. Application perspectives of digital holographic microscopy techniques are demonstrated by measurement results obtained from engineered surfaces and from dynamic life cell analysis.
