Diagnostics of high repetition rate pulsed lasers

12.11.2009 - Photonik international 2/2009 |  [ deutsche Version lesen ]

Developers and user of high repetition rate lasers are facing a number of challenging issues: Not only characterize pico- and nanosecond laser pulses in “no time”, but also handle its broad spectral range and potentially extremely high peak powers. And be ready in time for the next pulse. This article presents the technology behind the first solution recently implemented, which is capable of measuring and recording single laser pulses very precise at a rate of 100 kHz.
