Raman-Spectroscopy for clinical laboratory analysis?
14.11.2008 - Photonik international 2/2008 |
[ deutsche Version lesen ]

Clinical laboratory analysis constitutes a considerable part of the medical diagnostic procedure, providing qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis of biomedical samples such as blood or serum. As an alternative or supplement to the reagent-based chemical analysis, Raman spectroscopy bears the potential to allow for a reagent-free, contact-less, and non-destructive insight into the chemical composition of biomedical samples in order to shed light on important blood parameters.
