Examining and sorting – new device concepts for the microscopy of living cells

Today, many scientific questions in basic medical research through to the development of pharmaceutical active substances deal with how to examine and influence processes at the cellular level. Light microscopy possesses great potential in dealing with the issues concerned, and is currently being converted into powerful tools. Rapid development in this area is advanced by research projects with a focus on biophotonics that are funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
